Last Chance! Summer Camp July 24-28

Summer camps teaching how to make electronic music.

5 x 3.5 hour workshops: $199.00

  • These summer camps take place over 5 half-days, Monday to Friday from 1:00pm to 4:30pm.

Explore creating and producing electronic music. No experience is required and no equipment needed. The objective at the end of the summer camp is that each participant will have created a solid 2-3 minute track utilizing the: TR 8 Drum Machine; MX 1 Performance Mixer with elements from the TB 3 Bassline and possibly the System-1 Synthesizer, Ableton Live and the DJ 808.

The Ableton Live components will focus on utilizing the “Session View” (as opposed to the “Arrangement Page”) to create tracks based on loops and samples.

We will also provide a general overview of the DJ 808 controller recently launched by Roland and Serato, including the gear and various functions (BPM, SYNC, Mix use of the TR S drum feature and the Sampler).

The camp is limited to 10 participants and each participant has exclusive use of their own studio “pod” consisting of multiple professional grade electronic music devices. No equipment is required of the participants and you will have fun… Guaranteed!

    Who should attend?

    1. Anyone with an interest in electronic music or just curious about all those blinking lights and knobs…(we will make it simple for you). No previous experience is required and no musical knowledge or skill is expected
